Born and educated in South Africa, attained Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1955. Practiced in South Africa from that date and began a parallel career as an artist from 1965.

GENERAL
1965—1970 Most successful artist in group shows “Artists Under the Sun” and “Artists Market” outdoor exhibitions in Johannesburg.
EXHIBITIONS
1972 — First one-man show – Herbert Evans Gallery, Johannesburg, South Africa, opened by Dr G Cohen.
1977 — Second one-man show – SA Association of Arts Gallery, Carlton Hotel, Johannesburg, South Africa, opened by Dr G Cohen.
1982 — “Art South Africa Today“ Group Exhibition held in Durban, South Africa, with top artists around the country participating – works selected and judged by eminent US Art Critic, Clement Greenberg.

2007 —

Parkwest Gallery, USA have expressed interest in my art and have invited me to make a formal application for my work to be sold on their worldwide Cruise Ships Auctions (80 ships) — which are said to be the largest art auctioneers in existence.

2008 —

Pinjarra Rotary Art Exhibition  — 1st Prize in Open Section, painting titled "Legend of the Rocks"
Coolgardie Innovative Arts Show — 1st Prize in Mining Scene Section, "Legend of the Mine"
2009 — Harvey Art Society — 1st Prize in 0pen section for work titled 'Waterfall in the Kimberly"
2nd Prize in Abstract section for work titled "Legend of the Rocks"
